Marketing Manager (via Promotion)
- Work closely with product management, product
strategy, corporate marketing, and client development organizations
to bring marketing leadership to CheckFree’s $400M EC division.
- Project owner for the launch of CheckFree’s
flagship product, CheckFree Web 4.0 (accounts for >70% of CheckFree’s
total revenue). Responsibilities included the selection, promotion
and management of the launch event, the coordination and delivery
of pre-launch training, and the creation of all marketing and
sales materials.
- Develop strategic messaging and manage the
production of the following deliverables: Product guides, product
brochures, HTML demos, flash demos, press releases, competitive
positioning brochures, feature comparison slicks, interactive
FAQ documents, and sales/executive presentations.
- Plan and execute highly targeted cross-media
advertising campaigns and direct marketing initiatives. Manage
a sizeable budget for print, online and direct mail promotions.
Work with sales, research and strategy teams to identify target
market segments and to develop key themes and strategies to obtain
maximum impact.
- Responsible for budgeting, planning and execution
of all EC trade shows and user conferences. Includes event identification
and selection; evaluation of presence/investment required; pre-event
publicity; sponsorships; at booth attractions and giveaways; event/booth
look and theme; C-level officer presentations; AV/Flash vignettes;
full event signage and key message development; and post-event
evaluation.
Interactive Media, Senior Specialist
- Designed
and implemented an online marketing campaign
with the goal of increasing corporate visibility and driving consumer adoption at MyCheckFree.com. Managed a $1.2m budget; orchestrated both internal and agency production of assets; initiated media buys at numerous high-profile sites including AOL, Bankrate, CBS Marketwatch, Oprah, and iVillage; established and refined a search engine optimization campaign including keyword placements at all major Web search engines; executed targeted email campaigns independently through database list purchases and through targeted customer segments at select Web sites utilizing membership data; and implemented a tracking solution to obtain hard ROI figures. Results: Succeeded in attracting over 60,000 customers (225% of goal) at a CPA under $20. Constructed an online
ad library.
- Selected to represent marketing in new
product development group for CheckFree.com. Responsible for product
branding and positioning; creation of highly customized sales
materials and presentations; and conveyed technical messaging
to internal and external audiences.
- Created a full-scale HTML product demo
for new product offering, WebPay for Small Business.
Was also responsible for agency selection and management to develop
associated Flash demo.
- Project manager for comprehensive overhaul
of major corporate Web site (checkfreeisolutions.com)
including site construction and testing, development of look-and-feel
and directing creation of copy and content.
- Develop multimedia presentations used
by senior executives to communicate CheckFree's strategic direction,
corporate initiatives and product introductions/enhancements for
media, analyst, client and internal audiences.

- Created and executed a comprehensive marketing
plan for iTech, which identified key target market niches and
methods for revenue gain through increased awareness within those
niches.
